I was 7 years old when I discovered jazz by accidentally clicking on a link to an Earl Hines video clip on Encarta. Nothing has been the same ever since. In a little more than a year I accumulated a collection of several hundred CDs. And I have seen live (and have autographs from) Paquito d’Rivera, Kenny Garrett, Chick Corea, Benny Golson, Geri Allen, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, David Sanchez, Avishay Cohen, Ray Barretto, Matthew Shipp, Johnny Griffin, Junior Mance, John Hicks, Phil Woods, Yusef Lateef, Joel Frahm... to name only a few.
My jazz teacher is bassist Jean Claude Jones.
